Responsible Gaming

The Responsible Gaming Policy

Gambling is supposed to be good fun and a pleasant pastime. But it’s also entertainment that requires an investment, so learn how to use it responsibly.

If you feel like you can’t stop, and most of your money goes to gambling, you may be addicted. When playing at a casino, you can not only win but also lose, so always set your limits – the amount you can afford to lose, and stop when that limit is reached. Don’t gamble with funds not intended for entertainment.

One of the most effective ways to combat addiction is responsible gambling. Its principle is the implementation of certain actions to prevent unstable behavior in relation to the gambling process. For example, a casino informs players of the potential risks they may encounter while playing.

Self Failure Register

In Malaysia gamblers have an opportunity to refuse to participate in gambling by applying to the Register of self-denying persons, which is permitted by the Law on Gambling and Lotteries. The purpose of the registry is to protect the public interest and the right of individuals to refrain from excessive reliance on gambling, including interactive gambling, gambling or participation in interactive lotteries.

Application for registration is voluntary – a person can apply to the registry in writing by presenting an identification document in person at the Inspectorate of Lotteries and Gambling (ILAG) or at any gambling website,

  • A person has the right to request that he or she be prohibited from gambling in the Malaysia, including interactive gambling, as well as from participating in interactive lotteries, and to be included in the register of persons who do not wish to do so.
  • The ban applies to all classical gambling, interactive gambling and interactive lotteries. The minimum withdrawal period is 12 months.
  • The register of self-regulators can be included voluntarily: in the first months of this year, 35,193 people have applied for it.
  • The Inspectorate for Lotteries and Gambling Supervision has a certified psychologist-consultant who can address those who have problems with gambling.

It’s entertainment, not a way to make money

Online gambling is, of course, fascinating. The choices are also endless – slot machines, poker or blackjack, various tournaments and other online casino offerings. In turn, the possible winnings tend to cloud the joy of the game, making you strive only to win rather than enjoy the entertainment itself. Remember that it is primarily entertainment, not a way to make money that will solve your financial problems.

Limit your game budget

While you’re curious (and lucky), you can’t even tell how much time has passed and how much money you’ve already spent. To avoid playing too much and getting too involved, set a budget, stick to it, and never play more than you can afford. There are different ways to limit your playing budget – account turnover and betting limits, playing time limits, and more.

Set your own limits

Use the online casino platform tools to set deposit and loss limits. Limits can be different, both in terms of time in play, bets, and deposits.

Play when you feel good, not when you want to run away from everything

Playing casino games should make you feel positive, exciting, and pleasantly anxious. However, playing in a bad mood can affect your decisions. You may take a risk if you don’t normally take risks and resort to funds you didn’t plan to spend. Play when you have time, feel good, and can focus 100% on the games.

Learn to stop

You can do different things in the game – for a while everything will seem exciting and luck will be on your side, but at some point you’ll probably feel like you want a new dose of adrenaline. At such times there is a desire to raise the stakes, to start playing games you are not sure of, and so on. At such moments, it’s a good time to stop and take a break.

And if at first no visible results are observed in the addict, it is not a reason to give up. Don’t forget that gambling addiction is the same disease as alcoholism or drug addiction.
